CANCELED: EPA Update: Applications for Non-Potable Reuse Less Impacted by PFAS
In April 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued a national drinking water standard for six PFAS compounds in drinking water. While this regulation does not apply to any form of non-potable water reuse, there may still be concerns regarding PFAS in recycled water. This presentation will give an overview on potential issues and impacts of PFAS on different non-potable reuse applications.
This session will provide a better understanding of issues associated with PFAS in different non-potable reuse applications. Attendees will learn about different initiatives from the EPA regarding PFAS and water reuse and potential public health concerns. In addition, this presentation will include information from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on their perspective on PFAS in agricultural reuse.
