Nature-Based Reuse and Groundwater Recharge: The 4G Ranch Wetlands
This presentation will discuss the design, construction, and operational performance of the world's largest groundwater recharge wetland, the 4G Ranch Wetlands. This 176-acre constructed wetland receives up to 5 mgd of reclaimed water and was constructed to provide Pasco County with wet-weather management and beneficial reuse through nutrient load reduction, water supply augmentation, and restoration of hydrologically altered wetlands and lakes.
Attendees will learn about constructed groundwater recharge wetlands, treatment wetland water quality performance modeling and process, alternative water supply augmentation, innovative beneficial reuse technology, and the benefits of public-private partnerships.
